GPT-4ās Image Generator Went Viral this week, Hereās Why
Youāve probably seen them on your feed: those cozy, dreamy Studio Ghibli-style AI images. Theyāve gone viral againāand this time, itās not Midjourney or DALLĀ·E doing the work.
Itās ChatGPT.
Yep, OpenAIās new image generator is now built directly into GPT-4, and itās quietly become one of the best visual tools out there. Users are generating high-quality comics, posters, menus, memes, and of course, those viral Ghibli-inspired scenes.
And itās good. Likeā¦ āmake a fitness comic with readable speech bubblesā good.
Likeā¦ ādraw a cyberpunk coffee shop menu in Japaneseā good.
Likeā¦ āWill Smith holding a GTA 6 case while eating spaghettiā good.
You get the point.
This thing nails layout, text accuracy, multiple characters, remixingāyou can even turn a real photo into a fantasy-style illustration in one go. (Thatās exactly how the viral Ghibli trend started.)
You can actually try it yourself.
Just go to chat.openai.com, switch to GPT-4, and start prompting. You can even remix images, turn them into stickers, or generate full scenes with multiple characters.
Honestly, this feature got so viral, it felt like everyone found out overnight. But if you want to stay ahead of these kinds of viral AI trends before they blow up, we track them in real time using VidBuzz.

NEWS & UPDATES
US falling behind in the AI war?
Letās talk about the biggest AI news and updates this week and what they actually mean.

1. Googleās Gemini 2.5 is a āThinking Modelā
Google DeepMind dropped Gemini 2.5 Pro, calling it their most intelligent AI model yet. It tops reasoning benchmarks, generates code from a one-line prompt, and leads in math, science, and agentic coding. Itās already live in Google AI Studio and available to Gemini Advanced users, with a 1M token context window and plans to double it.
2. Krisp Launches Real-Time Accent Changer for Indians
Krisp launched a tool that converts Indian English accents to American English during live calls. Though still in beta, early enterprise tests showed 26% better sales conversions. Support for more accents like Filipino is on the way.
3. Chinaās AI Surge Has US Worried
Thereās growing concern among top U.S. AI leaders that Americaās dominance in artificial intelligence is slipping. In recent reports submitted to the government, OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic sounded the alarm on Chinaās rapid progressāparticularly models like DeepSeek R1 and Ernie 4.5.
Ernie 4.5 by Baidu reportedly outperforms GPT-4.5 on several benchmarksāwhile costing just 1% of the price. Meanwhile, DeepSeek is fully open-source, state-backed, and dramatically cheaperāup to 40x less than U.S. models. That combination of performance + price is reshaping the global AI landscape.
OpenAI compared the situation to Huaweiās dominance in 5G, citing national security risks if Chinaās models become embedded in critical infrastructure. Anthropic warned that its own models are capable of bioweapon design, and that without stricter export control on chips and compute, China could gain a major edge.

TOOL OF THE WEEK
Opus Clip - The Shortcut to Viral Shorts
There are hundreds of AI tools that claim to āsave timeā but very few that actually save momentum. Thatās what Opus Clip does differently.
Hereās how Iāve been using it:
Instead of recording new short videos from scratch, I just upload longer podcasts, or videos and Opus instantly finds the best viral hooks, cuts them into punchy clips, and even adds captions that look like they were designed by a pro.

The results?
Short-form clips ready in minutes
Auto-edited with highlights, zooms, emojis, and text
Hook-based intros that grab attention (no editor needed)
For people running AI businesses or educational brands, this is the shortcut to multiplying content without burning out.
Try it here: Opus Clip
