Why It Works:

Why It Works:
Introduce a character through the damage, not the pose. Showing the hit instead of the hero puts the viewer in the position of the man taking it, which sticks far harder than a silhouette on a rooftop.
Make the power visible in the material. A fist that comes apart into grains as it lands explains the entire gimmick in one frame — no narration, no origin story, no name card.
Push the colour past realism. Hard red rim light and a spray of magenta grain borrow the language of comic-book ink, so the frame announces itself as a panel and the eye grades it against comics rather than against film.
