AI-Generated Short Films Are Exploding (and You Can Make One Too)

Alright, here’s something fresh we spotted trending this week — and it’s kinda insane.

Creators are now making fully animated short films using nothing but ChatGPT’s new image generator and tools like Kling to bring those frames to life. No animation skills, no fancy software — just smart prompting (literally with ChatGPT)

And the results? They’re genuinely impressive.

These videos don’t just look great — they’re pulling in millions of views. Why? Because they’re made as episodic stories that hook viewers in with cliffhangers and keep them coming back for Part 2, 3, and beyond.

Why this matters:

  • Anyone with a good story idea can now create animated content.

  • AI is making solo filmmaking realistic, fast, and actually watchable.

  • This might be one of the most doable content trends right now.

And yep- this is exactly the kind of thing we track inside VidBuzz. It helps us (and now you) find breakout AI trends before they become the next 20M-view hit.

NEWS & UPDATES
Canva is All in on AI and Midjourney V7 is here!

Let’s talk about the biggest AI news and updates this week and what they actually mean=

1. Canva Just Turned Into an All-in-One AI Toolbox

So Canva’s not just for cute Instagram posts anymore.

  • They’ve rolled out a full suite of AI tools:

  • An assistant that writes, designs, and ideates

  • Photo editing with point-and-click object removal

  • Background generation that accounts for lighting and perspective

  • AI-powered spreadsheets with automatic charting

  • You can even build mini-apps inside Canva now (like calculators and interactive maps)

It’s basically Figma meets Notion meets Photoshop but made for anyone!

2. HiDream - The New King of Open-Source Image Gen?

HiDream is now the top-ranked open-source text-to-image model.
It performs as close to Flux, SDXL, and Stable Diffusion 3.5 in many ways if not better, especially prompt coherence, human anatomy, and full-scene logic.

It’s also:

  • Uncensored: no weird filtering or blocked outputs

  • Great with text: renders titles and labels with real accuracy

  • Fast and accessible: can run on 16GB VRAM using the "fast" model

  • Easy to test: play with the dev version on Hugging Face, or install locally via ComfyUI for full control

It’s still not perfect with rare animals or handwriting, but this model is seriously impressive, especially for creatives looking for open-source freedom.

3. Midjourney V7 Is Finally Here

After 1 year, 3 months, and 14 days since V6, Midjourney has officially dropped V7—and yeah, it’s a big one.

The image quality? Noticeably better.

But the real magic? You can now personalize your outputs by rating 200 images, basically teaching Midjourney your taste.

V7 also introduces Draft Mode, which is 10x faster and 50% cheaper.
Think of it as your idea-scribbling pad before going full-res masterpiece. Perfect for those “what if” visual experiments.

Not everything’s perfect though. Omni Reference, Remix, and a few other features didn’t make it at launch. Using the Editor or Upscaler still reverts your work to V6.1, which feels like a step backward but weekly updates are coming over the next month, so that might change quickly.

And yep, you heard right: apparently, Midjourney Video is on the horizon.

If you're serious about using AI to create, grow, and actually monetize your content—we help you do exactly that inside the Skool community.

TOOL OF THE WEEK
Automated Content System

Huge news! We just passed 6,000 followers on Instagram!
And the craziest part? I’ve never once stepped in front of the camera.

Everything you see? It's built with AI. (We do what we speak, yes)

Here’s exactly how we make it happen:

  • Heygen creates lifelike video avatars, so it looks like I’m talking—but it’s all generated.

  • ElevenLabs handles the voiceovers with that natural, human feel (no more robotic tones).

  • Repurpose.io takes those videos and pushes them to every platform—Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts—on autopilot.

  • ManyChat takes care of replies, DMs, and turns viewers into community members.

It’s a fully automated system that lets us scale fast, stay consistent, and reach thousands, without burning out creating content every day.

But the best part? We’re not keeping it to ourselves.

Inside our Skool community, we’re teaching exactly how to build, grow, and monetize AI-powered content, whether you want to run faceless Instagram pages, launch an automated YouTube brand, or create AI-first businesses.

👉 If you’re ready to build your own AI brand and finally start making it work for you, come join us inside Skool.

That’s a wrap for this week—talk soon!
