What’s Blowing Up This Week

Hey! Welcome back to another week in AI land.

This week, 3 totally different AI trends caught my eye. From luxury loops to nature chaos to unhinged storytelling... here’s what’s blowing up and why.

1) Niche: Story-Driven

Video: Watch on Instagram
Lion dad. Cat mom. Baby in an oven. Sounds insane, right? That’s exactly why people are watching. It starts cute, flips dark, then somehow ends on a happy note. It’s like meme culture meets Pixar chaos. But guess what, it has 9M+ views in only 5 days, crazy right?

Why it works: It’s so weird and unpredictable plus High Quality, you have to finish it.

How: Dzine, for the images and video & ElevenLabs for the voiceover.

2) Niche: Mother Nature

Video: Watch on Instagram
A swirling AI whirlpool in a violent river, no music but water sounds. Looks and sounds hyper-real, plus totally unsettling.

Why it works:
Feels real enough to scare you, fake enough to fascinate you. Has over 3.5m+ views in just 5 days.

How: Dzine, for the images and video & ElevenLabs for the voiceover.

3) Niche: Luxury Aesthetic

Video: Watch on Instagram
A cinematic loop of a glowing AI-generated mansion. The lighting’s soft, the camera movement is smooth, and there’s no voice, no text, just pure, expensive-feeling vibes. It looks like something out of a futuristic design magazine.

Why it works:
The high-end aesthetic instantly grabs attention, and the clean loop makes people rewatch without even realizing it, that’s exactly what got it 1.5m+ views in only 24 hours.

How: This can all be done with Dzine.

These are just 3 videos—but there are literally thousands of trending AI videos inside Vidbuzz every week.
That’s exactly how we find what’s working early and use it before everyone else does.

If you’re making AI content, theme pages, or just want to stop guessing, Vidbuzz is worth checking out.

NEWS & UPDATES
News & Updates

This week felt like everyone’s either doubling down on AI
or trying to survive it. Here’s what stood out:

1. MidJourney V7 Just Got a Quiet but Pretty Solid Upgrade

V7 had a rough start with stuff like odd body poses and those blurry background NPCs. But this latest update seems to clean a lot of that up.

The (--exp) command is what’s getting most of the attention. It’s meant to add more depth, creative angles, and visual flair, without losing prompt accuracy.

Lightbox editor also got some love, especially the retexture tab. It's still not a Photoshop killer, but it does give creators more ways to experiment inside MidJourney itself.

Feels like this update is laying the groundwork for bigger things, especially with the Omni Reference feature on the horizon, which already looks promising in early previews.

2. Google Is Putting Ads Inside Chatbots

Yep, some third-party AI chats are already showing AdSense.

It’s subtle now, but this might be the start of monetized AI convos becoming the norm.

Brace yourself for sponsored suggestions mid-chat!

3. Visa, Mastercard, PayPal Are Building AI Shopping Agents

“Agentic commerce” is the new buzzword, AI tools that buy stuff for you, based on your preferences.

It’s cool in theory, but also kinda wild how fast this is moving. Feels like your credit card might soon start shopping on your behalf.

4. Pinterest Is Trying to Fix Its AI Mess

They’re finally labeling AI-generated images and letting users filter them out.
A lot of OG users were fed up with what they call “AI slop.” This might help.

Also shows how real the pushback against too much AI is getting.

5. Duolingo Just Dropped 148 AI-Made Language Courses

They say it took 12 years to build the first 100 manually—and just 1 year to launch 148 with AI.

But they’re also replacing human contractors, and the internet isn’t exactly cheering for them right now.

6. Microsoft: “30% of Our Code Is Now AI-Written”

Satya Nadella casually mentioned it during a fireside chat.

Python’s doing great, C++
 not so much.

Google also claims a similar number, but honestly, it’s hard to know how these companies are actually measuring “AI-written” code.
So yeah, interesting stat, but probably worth keeping a bit of healthy skepticism.
